particulars

  • When is the best time to begin using the AACE?
AACE can be used when a child outgrows their harnessed convertible car seat by weight and height, and as long as they can sit with their back against the booster seat with their knees bent at the edge of the booster without slouching, and as long as they can sit properly restrained in the seat for long periods of time, and can do this every time. For high back mode, the child should be at least 4 years old, and be within the height range of 38-60 inches, and weight range of 40-110 pounds. For no back mode, the child should be at least 5 years old, and be within the height range of 38-60 inches, and weight range of 50-120 pounds.
  • How much extra shoulder room does my child actually get?
As your child grows in stature, they need a booster that does the same. Your child will gain an additional 2 inches of shoulder room from the lowest headrest position to the highest headrest position.
  • Is the AACE aircraft approved?
The AACE is not certified for aircraft use. Airplane seats have only a lap belt. Booster seats, including the AACE, must be used with a Lap/Shoulder Belt.

install items

  • What is the function of the Lower Anchor Connectors?
They secure your AACE to the vehicle seat when not in use and allow you to utilize the recline feature in high back mode. The lower anchor connectors are not an installation method. The vehicle lap and shoulder belt is how you secure your child.
  • How can I keep the shoulder belt from falling off my child's shoulders in the no back mode?
The high back mode provides a shoulder belt guide that properly positions the vehicle shoulder belt across your child's chest and shoulder. When transitioning to the no back mode, you may need to use the shoulder belt positioning clip (included with purchase) to obtain proper placement of the vehicle shoulder belt. Please refer to your instruction manual for detailed instructions.

  • I have misplaced or lost my instruction manual, what can I do?
If your instruction manual is missing or you need another copy visit the support section of our website where you may download instructions for any Nuna product.
  • I was recently in an accident. There doesn't appear to be any damage. Do I have to replace my child's car seat?
Yes. You need to replace your child's car seat if it was involved in any accident - even a minor one. Even if there is no visible damage to the car seat, the impact and force of a collision can cause unseen structural damage. Any such damage may prohibit your car seat from adequately protecting your child in the event of a sudden stop or crash. Some insurance carriers will reimburse you for the replacement of a new car seat if it was in a crash. Check with your insurance provider for details on your policy.
  • Does my AACE have an expiration?
Yes. The expiration date or useful life of the AACE is 10 years after the date of manufacture. This information can be found on the bottom of your car seat.
  • How do I clean my AACE car seat?
Wipe plastic and metal parts with a damp sponge or soft cloth. For fabrics, hand wash or machine wash your covers on the delicate cycle, using cold water and mild detergent. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals on your car seat and do not dry clean. Use of cleaning agents such as these can damage your car seat and cause deterioration of the materials.
